Popular with Nelson Bay locals, this south-facing surf beach lies between One Mile Beach and the rugged coastline along Big Rocky Island. Reach this clothing-optional beach by walking from the Big Rocky area along informal walking trails. You can also drive there via Gan Gan Road, but only if you have a 4WD vehicle. Be sure to drive your vehicle only where permitted on access trails and the beachfront. Do not drive on the fragile dunes behind the beach. Samurai Beach is for day use only. Before you drive, check if there are park alerts or closures because this beach can sometimes close to vehicles for safety reasons. ...
