Hideaway Farmlet is situated in the town of Penguin, northwest Tasmania, and welcomes all visitors to experience getting up close and personal with a herd of friendly Australian Miniature Goats. Book an hour's experience with the farmers where they'll introduce you to the personalities and preferences of this pet breed. In no time you'll be smiling at their curiosity and laughing with their antics. You'll also have an opportunity to cuddle and brush the miniature goats with bucklings and doelings born in the Spring and Summer periods. Explore the wonderful experience of living and caring for miniature goats and discover how useful they are to manage on any property with acreage using sustainable design and practice. At the conclusion of the experience, you will be able to share a drink with your hosts or spend time with your favourite mini. Sunset Sessions are available all year round and includes a tasting of farm produce with a glass of Ghost Rock Wine and Tasmanian cheese. During the off-season, enjoy a dram of Hellyer's whisky, whisky cream or a hot chocolate with toasting marshmallows by the fire. Turn your experience into a memorable farm stay.
