Paddington, New South Wales
The first pub to open in the Paddington Village (it began welcoming customers in 1890), this much-loved establishment occupies an historic two-storey building that comes with plenty of charm. The sun-drenched balcony is a great spot to soak up the neighbourhood’s vibes, with a glass of wine, cold beer or fun cocktail. There are also TVs on both levels, so you can cheer on your team to victory – the locals also flock here for trivia and lively Sunday sessions. The menu, meanwhile, is fuss free and delicious, celebrating old-school Aussie pub favourites. Think chicken schnitzel, a bulging beef burger, steak-and-Guinness pie, and fish and chips. There are also options for vegetarians, including a seasonal green bowl, and a good selection of dishes just for kids....
