The whole family will love this short and easy walk from Pretty Beach picnic area around the northern tip of Murramarang National Park. Pretty Beach to Snapper Point walking track follows the headland to Snapper Point lookout with brilliant views of the dramatic coastline. From the grassy slopes of the Pretty Beach, follow the northern track through forests of she-oaks, where you might catch a glimpse of a swamp wallaby or a foraging lyrebird. The lookout is a great spot for whale watching in autumn and spring. Birdwatching is spectacular along the coastline as Gannets, sooty oystercatchers, and even peregrine falcons are seen in these parts. After you’ve had your fill of sweeping views and fresh air, make your way back along the track or head down to Merry Beach and make your way back via the nearby campground. If you’re tempted to spend a weekend, why not spend a night at Pretty Beach cabins? ...
